You may have heard this before, but it’s worth repeating here: brushing is the most powerful way to strengthen your oral health and thwart the advance of dental erosion and sickness. For the best outcomes, it’s imperative to practice the greatest technique when brushing. Below are some pieces of advice to help make you an expert brusher:
-Brush for 120 seconds! This may sound straightforward, but most people don’t brush for that long. (Two minutes is longer than you might think!) To make sure you’re brushing for at least two minutes per brushing time, try timing your tooth-brushing with a watch or timer.
-Brush twice daily. While brushing once is awesome, you should be brushing at least twice a day to see the best outcomes. Just like you wouldn’t want acids sitting on your teeth all night, you shouldn’t want bacterial acids eating away at your teeth during the day.
-Brush the outer-upper, then outer-lower, then inner-upper, and then the inner-lower teeth. Making sure you brush in this order will help you get each area of your teeth that your toothbrush can reach, and it’s fine-tuned to help you push out bacteria and debris efficiently.
